Caura River, Trinidad

Life as a Trinbagonians is never complete unless you experience a top-notch or true river lime atmosphere (social gathering) with friends and family cooking various dishes on the riverbank such curry duck, goat, pelau, fish broth or other meat as well as provisions: cassava, sweet potatoes, eddoes, etc. You know!!!!!!!!!!!!! How we ‘Trini’ like to lime already….well yea………

Journey to one of the most famous and scenic spots or locations for liming in Trinidad, along the Tacarigua River (commonly known as the Caura River) That's!!!!!!! What we talking about…………. The river originates in the Northern Range and makes its path into the Caura valley before linking to the Caroni River. Driving through the mountainous terrain can be exhilarating and unbelievable peaceful while enjoying the scenery.

Planning to go to the river can be a bit complicated in terms of weather conditions and the time of the year. Hot summer days can be heavenly ideal to witness the rustling of the cold, crystal clear water piercing its way through the rocks. Taking in a breath of fresh air, one can be mesmerised by the ambiance of the magnificent lush green forested area while enjoying a  relaxing moment and the admiration of nature.

However, weekends and public holidays can be livelier with the presence of a larger crowd, which can add to the excitement and enjoyment depending on your vibe. Guys, a bit of housekeeping before leaving can go a long way to protect and preserve our beautiful and beloved country......
