Cricket is one of the most popular sport
within Trinidad and Tobago; it is part of who we are as a nation since its
introduction by the British in the 18th century. The inception of
the Hero Caribbean Premier League (CPL) within the Caribbean, cricket has grown
into a vibrant sport that culminates in the biggest party in Trinidad and
Tobago. Fans flocks to the stadium, sports bars and lounges or within the
comfort of their home to enjoy the excitement of the game of cricket.
One of my thrilling, heart-throbbing nail-biting
experience was the CPL final at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy (BCLA) in 2017,
Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. Chasing a
mere 136 for victory, Trinbago Knight Riders struggled horrendously with six
wickets down and requiring 33 runs from 18 balls with Cooper and Ramdin at the
crease.
Cooper hit a whopping 29 runs from 14 balls comprising of two sixes and two fours, which drives the crowd in a frenzy and swayed the match in Trinbago Knight Riders favour, who eventually won. Share your experience or what's your thought on cricket??????????? Also, do you all think there will be a CPL 2020 in light of the Coronavirus??????
